"I want to tell you something"

Elaine has this thing lately of saying, "I want to tell you something" and then when she has your attention, she says what she wanted to say. Last evening I had to smile. "Mommy, I want to tell you something" as if it was world's greatest secret. :) She went on to nearly whisper, "Rose said 'Thank you'" (for helping wash the dishes).   She had begged and begged to help with the dishes, and I said that she could even though Rose wasn't so thrilled at such a young helper and Elaine was tickled pink - especially with the "thank you" she got afterwards! :)  ...The simple things in life!
