Do you see what I see?

 This is under the hood of the Husky... do you see what is outlined by a star???

One of my chickens must have picked this spot to lay her eggs! I have no idea how long that was rattling around under there!!! Might have had a few trips to church?

A special meal...

The girls were really anxious to have fish for dinner again. So we bought some at market. 

The children were totally intrigued watching Yeye prepare it.

Cleaned and washed with citron, not they're ready to be marinated...

then dredged in flour, and fried...

The girls also made red beet salad. That's a favorite with me. It's made with red beets, potatoes, carrots, peas, corn, and tastes very much like potato salad in the States...

The girls wanted their pictures taken with their special dishes... They also made rice & beans, but that was too "everyday" to take a picture with it!!! :) The children loved the fish - it was the highlight of their day! :)

10 months old!

My baby is 10 months old!

I don't know where time gets to - we sure are enjoying our little man! He's such a happy, jolly fellow!

But... I already find myself missing this stage... When preemie clothes were too big for him...

...seeing all the tiny sleepers hanging on the line...

... and cuddling that little fellow who was content just to be held all the time...

He still loves to be held, he's still a cuddly little fellow and so much fun... I just hate to see him leaving the baby stage behind so fast! :)

'Nelle is 3!!!

Janelle was quite tickled with her cupcake that had 3 candles stuck in it! :)

We laughed when she told someone, "Mommy said I am "free" (three) now!

Tropical Downpour!

 We've been having more rain lately. When it rains here, usually it's short, fast and hard! 

 This afternoon we had about 1 1/2 inches in about an hour and a half!

 The water barrel full and overflowing!

Rose is taking advantage of the rain, and washing off the porch!!!!

Here's Rose, Weston, and Yeye posing for a picture. :) Yeye just loves Weston and when she doesn't make it to work she misses him. She always likes how happy he is to see her when she comes.

Yams

 Maxo dug yams on Wednesday at Charlo's place and we brought them home on the Husky.

 Here's the pile of them on the porch.

 Yesterday Maxo cut the roots off and planted them. It's hard to see in pics, but they plant the yams in hills.

We sold most of the rest of the yams at market today.

Puppies For Sale!

 I took these pictures a few weeks ago when our friends Don & Karole were up here, and forgot to post them. The boys had such fun playing puppy auction with Eric!

 They put the benches together to make pens, and used the wagon sides for dividers!

 Not sure the puppies were so enthused about their confinement, but it sure kept them entertained for a while!

We're still here!

My apologies! I know I haven't posted all week. I've been meaning to, but every day goes by without getting it done... I am going to make a valiant effort to get it done tomorrow... I'm really feeling sorry for those of you who check in every day! I know what it feels like to check in on a blog and feel like no one ever posts! 

We're all doing well, and keeping busy! We've been having more rain lately - that has been so nice! What hasn't been nice today has been generator issues, but we're running again tonight, and hopefully we're good to go at least for a while. Thank God for friends that can fix generators!!! Thanks a lot Steve & Andrew!

Action!

 It can be constant entertainment, just watching the children play! Do you believe me?!!

 Their newest invention is pushing old tin cups, or shoes around with sticks! It's grand fun!

 (Never mind the fact that Cherlise had her hair unbraided to be combed for Sunday!!! :) )

 I love catching the action and the expressions!

Bundled up!

 It does feel very cold here sometimes, especially when it's windy! :)

 The children were out playing one late afternoon, and we bundled Weston up against the cold wind. He was happy to be outside, but in a few minutes...

... He was fast asleep!!!

Jared...

 It was a very windy day, and Jared, who loves the puppies and hauls them all over the place, (including on swing rides!!), decided that the puppy was cold, and needed to be covered!!! 

Future Gardener?

 I don't know... guess I just like sharing pictures of the few flowers that we can coax to life around here... though I actually didn't remember that we had planted this wild rose... The children just drool over it, and wanted me to take a picture of it! :)

Wedding Procession...

 This is the wedding procession following the post "Bwote -a"...

 The pastors took the lead in front, then the bride & groom, with all the guests following...

 They're heading to their new home, and will have a reception there for their guests.
