The shop roof is on!

It took about 5 guys on the roof and the rest to watch! ;)
The fellows from Allegre came up and they made a great team!

They were done in about an hour, except for the ridge cap and a piece of tin that was missing... We're so glad that's done... the garage door is in, and tomorrow Dad plans to pick up the windows.

A few pics of the children...

Here's my Weston... He's 8 months old! Where does time fly?
Too bad you can't see his shirt... It says, "Mommy's Prince" :)
Would be mechanics... helping Lyndon fix the horn...

More Building Pictures...

 It's coming right along!
This guy does work... sometimes...In this picture he was laying there ribbing the bosses about me taking pictures... trying to make sure they smiled real nice...

And they started plastering! This room with the vents is going to be our generator room...
Lord willing, the fellows from Allegre are planning to help us get the roof on Saturday.

Saturday...

Here's what the shop looks like today!
The bosses should be done laying block by Tuesday.
Dad kind of feels like he's getting into a time crunch... so much to do and so little time before they have to be home to start work again... but it's coming along well.
Jared and Michael are enjoying the Saturday break from school and having fun playing with the wheelbarrow.
Now just some random scenery pics from our yard... It's such a pretty day outside!
One of our California orange trees that we planted last spring. It looks like they'll do well here.
A hanger of bananas growing in our grove.
One of our banana groves... I lost count how many plants we have!

What's happening around here...

"There's always room for one more"
The rental payment... in gold... :)
Kelli's 8 puppies who were born under the steps...
The bosses started laying block on Monday.
 Boss Jean...
We're getting into rainy season and that's been slowing the process down.
We need to haul more block up, and get more sand, but the roads are too muddy and slick...
This is what it looks like today! They're really coming along with it!
And we've had some sunshine and wind this morning so we're really hoping that the roads dry out enough to haul sand and block!

Once again...

The shop is up!
It's exciting to see a nice building standing there again, instead of the wreckage that the November hurricane left us!
Some of the fellows from Allegre came to help...
The whole process went very smooth and fast!
It seemed like they were only working a few hours, and they had it all set up!
They could've gotten a lot more done if the rain hadn't chased them in at 4...
Donavon, Jonathan, Michael & Lyndon had an efficient system going, it seemed...
The next week looks like it will be a busy one as they finish hauling block from T-Goave, weld the joints,  get the bosses started with laying block, and put the roof on... Dad wants to have it finished before they head back to the States, so you  can continue to pray that God would prosper their work...  It will be so nice to have that done!!!

Rose's Story...

Here's a story Rose wrote all by herself for English... I wish it was easier to read, but I'll write it down below for those of you who would like to know what she wrote without straining your eyes!!!

"The Squirrel and His Nuts"
"The big, fat grey squirrel was preparing for winter. He gathered some nuts that were laying under (the) trees. He looked for a place to hide them. In the attic the squirrel found an old sock with a big hole. He stuffed the nuts into the sock and dragged it to his hollow. When winter came the squirrel (went) to the hollow where he had hidden the nuts. But he couldn't find the nuts! What had happened to his nuts? They had fallen through the big hole in the sock."

For Rose this was a major accomplishment, since English is not her first language, and she still struggles with sentence structure and all... She didn't think that she could do it by herself, but I know it makes her feel good to know that she can!!!

Little Helpers ~

Janelle and Elaine were helping Yeye by drying dishes. :) They loved it!

Rachel is our little "Mommy" she loves the babies and entertaining Weston.

And here's my happy little man! I finally weighed him yesterday.
He's 19 lbs - a big difference from just over 4 lbs not quite 8 months ago!!!! :)
Cherlise like to help clean, so here she is sweeping the girls' room.

Simeon & Melanie S. came for the weekend... Dad was so glad for Simeon's help with the concrete!

Don't you like this one of Weston and Karlee? She just about ate him alive!!! :)
But he's not sure about her!

Weston.
Little miss Karlee Jo... She's the baby that I had temporarily last spring.
Her mom was one of my water ladies... Simeons are fostering her while friends of mine are working at getting her adoption through...
